Terms & Conditions Cafetechnica (Coffee Technicians Tasmania Pty Ltd)

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Cafetechnica website (cafetechnica.com.au) and your purchase of goods and services from Coffee Technicians Tasmania Pty Ltd t/a Cafetechnica (ABN 88 642 206 657, “Cafetechnica”, “we”, “us”, “our”).

By using our website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms, including our Shipping & Delivery and Returns & Refunds terms set out below.

2. Our Products & Services Cafetechnica supplies, services and repairs commercial and domestic coffee machines, spare parts, and cleaning chemicals across Tasmania and Australia-wide. Product descriptions, images and specifications are provided in good faith but may vary slightly from the actual item supplied.

3. Orders & Payment

• All prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST unless stated otherwise.

• We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order, including where a pricing error has occurred, stock is unavailable, or fraud is suspected.

• Payment must be received in full before goods are dispatched or services commenced, unless otherwise agreed in writing, such as an approved trade account.

• We use third-party payment providers to process payments securely and do not store full card details.

4. Shipping & Delivery

• We deliver Australia-wide by courier.

• Orders are dispatched within 1–2 business days of payment being received, subject to stock availability.

• Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on the weight, size and delivery location of your order.

• Delivery timeframes provided by our couriers are estimates only and may vary due to location, weather, public holidays or other circumstances outside our control.

• Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery. Title passes once payment has been received in full.

• Local pickup from our Cambridge, TAS premises is available by prior arrangement — please contact us to organise a collection time.

• If your order does not arrive, or arrives damaged, please contact us as soon as possible and no later than 7 days after the expected delivery date so we can investigate with the courier.

5. Returns & Refunds At Cafetechnica we stand behind everything we sell. Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. This section outlines your rights and our process for returns across parts, coffee machines and cleaning chemicals.

5.1 Spare Parts We want to make sure you get the right part first time. Please contact us before ordering if you are unsure of compatibility.

• Unused, unopened parts in original packaging may be returned within 14 days of purchase with proof of purchase

• A store credit or exchange will be offered where the part is no longer needed or incorrectly ordered

• We do not accept returns on parts that have been installed or used

• Electrical components, including PCBs, triacs and solenoids, are non-refundable once opened, unless faulty

• If a part arrives damaged or is proven to be faulty, we will replace it or issue a full refund at no cost to you

• Parts ordered incorrectly by the customer are not eligible for a cash refund but may be exchanged, subject to availability

• All return freight costs are at the customer's expense, unless the item is confirmed as faulty or incorrectly supplied by Cafetechnica

5.2 Coffee Machines New Machines

• New machines may be returned within 7 days of purchase if unused and in original packaging, with proof of purchase

• Machines showing signs of use are not eligible for return unless faulty

• Where a machine develops a fault within the manufacturer warranty period, we will assess and arrange repair, replacement or refund in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law

• All return freight costs are at the customer's expense, unless the machine is confirmed as faulty or incorrectly supplied by Cafetechnica Refurbished Machines

• All refurbished machines are sold with a 3-month parts and labour warranty

• If a fault develops within the warranty period, contact us and we will arrange assessment and repair at no charge

• Refurbished machines are sold as described — please review all product details carefully before purchase

• Change of mind returns are not accepted on refurbished machines

• All return freight costs are at the customer's expense, unless the machine is confirmed as faulty

5.3 Cleaning Chemicals & Descalers

• Unopened chemicals in original packaging may be returned within 14 days of purchase with proof of purchase

• We do not accept returns on opened or partially used chemical products, for health and safety reasons

• If a product arrives damaged or is defective, please contact us immediately and we will arrange a replacement or refund

• All return freight costs are at the customer's expense, unless the item is confirmed as damaged or defective upon arrival

5.4 General Return Conditions Regardless of the reason for return, please note:

• All returns are at the customer's expense unless the item is faulty, damaged in transit, or incorrectly supplied by Cafetechnica

• Items must be securely packaged for return — Cafetechnica is not responsible for items damaged in transit during return

• Refunds will be processed within 5–7 business days of receiving and inspecting the returned item

5.5 How to Lodge a Return To initiate a return, please contact us before sending anything back, using the details in clause 1 above. Please have your proof of purchase ready and a brief description of the reason for return. We will respond within 1–2 business days and guide you through the process.

 

6. Warranties & Australian Consumer Law Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL), or any other law, that cannot lawfully be excluded. Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the ACL, including the right to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage, and the right to have goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality without amounting to a major failure. Any manufacturer warranty we offer is in addition to, and does not limit, your rights under the ACL.

 

7. Servicing & Repairs Where we provide servicing or repair work, we take reasonable care and skill in accordance with industry standards. Quotes for repair work are estimates only, and actual costs may vary if further issues are identified once a machine is opened. We will contact you before proceeding with work that materially exceeds the original quote.

 

8. Limitation of Liability To the maximum extent permitted by law, and subject to clause 6 above, Cafetechnica's liability for any loss or damage arising from your use of our website, or your purchase of our goods or services, is limited to, at our option, the resupply of the goods or services, or the cost of having the goods or services resupplied.

 

9. Intellectual Property All content on our website, including text, images, logos and branding, is owned by or licensed to Cafetechnica and must not be reproduced without our written permission.

10. Website Use You must not use our website in any way that causes, or may cause, damage to the website or impairment of its availability, or in any way that is unlawful, fraudulent or harmful.

11. Privacy Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our separate Privacy Policy, available at cafetechnica.com.au, which forms part of these Terms.

12. Governing Law These Terms are governed by the laws of Tasmania, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Tasmania.

13. Changes to These Terms We may update these Terms from time to time. Any changes will be published on this page with the revised “Last Updated” date. Continued use of our website or services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
